Originally established by the <a title=\"European School of Oncology\" href=\"http:\/\/www.eso.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">European School of Oncology<\/a> in 2000, we are the leading international cancer charity in the UK dedicated to fighting cancer in developing countries <span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica','sans-serif'; color: #444444; background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%;\">through programmes approved by the Board of Trustees.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica','sans-serif'; color: #444444; background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%;\"><br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p>When you read our <a href=\"http:\/\/challengefund.org\/?page_id=45\">Mission Statement<\/a> you will see that \u2018overcoming cancer in developing countries\u2019 can mean training doctors and nurses, or providing cancer treatments (e.g. buying chemotherapy drugs) for children with cancer in Africa, or establishing palliative care networks that can relieve the suffering of cancer patients in low and middle income countries, or helping to strengthen cancer surveillance systems in sub-Saharan Africa.
